Terry was appointed a Justice of the Peace for South Australia in 1999.
He is Vice President of the Australasian Council of Justices' Associations, a director of the JP Training Organisation, a Life Member of the Royal Association of Justices of South Australia, author of the JP Reference Guide for South Australia, and creator of the RAJSA online Learning Management System.
Terry performs JP duties at the Federal Circuit Court, the Salisbury and the Para Hills libraries.
